Although natural stones hardly react with any chemicals so easily but we recommend a top surface treatment for easy cleaning the oil spots. Using acid on the Veneer Slate may results in fading the texture.

use of water-based epoxy grouts work well to fill between the cut veneers. By removing the material just under the grout joint, a deeper grout can be achieved if desired. Epoxy grouts are available in many colors to match or co-ordinate with the different colors of Veneer Slate.

Polyester-based gap filler putties
Silicone (with primer only)
Epoxies
Polyurethane wood glues
Thick latex-type adhesive, thin set etc. (uses only where air-drying can take place)
Construction grade multi-purpose adhesives (eg. Liquid Nails or PL Premium Polyurethane or
similar)
Veneer Slate may require a filler-type adhesive in some cases. Polyurethane wood glues
work well for most applications to fill gaps. For wet environment such as shower and
bathroom applications, the use of epoxy is best.
Pressure sensitive adhesives are also recommended due to the even backing of the
Veneer Slate.

Diamond blades used for marble & stone cutting can be used for cutting Veneer Slate.
Metal cutting tools also can be used to cut the Veneer Slate. Any standard carbide or diamond
saw blades would work just as well.

Silicon based transparent glues (colorless) are used for all translucent Veneer Slate
applications.

Q.16: Does it need special surface treatment?

Accepted Answer

It can be sealed in the similar manner as most slate and / or stone tiles are sealed. Please
follow manufacturer’s instructions for best results. As sealants are offered in varying degrees of
luster or sheen, we recommended that you confirm the reflectance prior to complete installation
to get the desired effect.

Veneer Slate is water retardant which can be water proof by the using same sealer which
is used for surface treatment.

Q.18: What is its curvature and banding capacity?

Accepted Answer

Veneer Slate can be bent or flexed to a radius of 150mm along the 1200mm length. The
600mm width will also have a slight flex to it, but is not recommended for bending. Due to the
nature of the different thickness of the individual items, the degree of radius varies per item. We
recommend testing the flex of the considered item prior to final installation.

Veneer Slate will not peel off from its backing as well as from the surface where it has
applied if the recommended adhesive is used.

Yes it has been already used in many flooring projects. To save it from wear and tear we
recommend using a sealer.

Yes it can be used in the showers or bathrooms as well as inside and outside of pool.

Our standard packaging options are available for 61x122cm. 1 corrugated box contains 25 sheets. In 1 wooden crate there are 10 such boxes which contain total 250 sheets.

Our skilled staff members always make sure that similar sheets be placed together. Every
time we get a request we deliver similar sheets of the same model. Natural Slate Veneer, color &
texture variations are the property of the material. Texture variations with color difference are a
inherent part of the natural beauty of quarried material. Veneer Slate cannot be guaranteed to
match with each Lot, it is recommended that material should be accepted in lots of 20, 40, 50
sheets to match. Large orders will be executed in bundles of 50 with 2-3 matching lots in each
bundle. Exceptions of large lots are also a possibility.

flexibility makes it perfect for all the curved and spherical surface applications. It is also can be

covers. Automotive industries also showed its interest in this product.

Fleece or cellulose backing gives best results for all the wood working applications.
Fleece backing allow wood workers to use PVA glue for laminating Veneer Slate on wooden
